That notice lists oncogenicity (mouse) as the sole outstanding animal study required by DPR under SB-950. The registrants had requested a waiver for this study category, agreeing that creosote is 2 mutagenic. See memorandum of March 18, 1996, from J. Gee asking for concurrence from OEHHA for a waiver on DNA damage studies. On 11/4/96, the staff of OEHHA wrote a memorandum to Jean-Marie Peltier, Chief Deputy Director at DPR, concurring with the request by the registrants for a waiver for further genotoxicity studies.
